Speaker Profile: Krista Tukiainen
Krista is the Head of Market Intelligence at Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI), an investor-facing global non-profit working to mobilise capital for climate change solutions. She oversees CBI’s suite of market intelligence and data solutions on green and sustainable fixed income. CBI is the only organisation in the world assessing the market against science-based definitions as outlined in the publicly available Climate Bonds Taxonomy, which has helped give rise to other green classification systems, including the EU Taxonomy. Krista and her team help to govern the sustainable bond market against greenwashing and facilitate the construction of low-carbon investment products to enable capital to flow to Paris-aligned assets, projects, activities, and issuers. Prior to joining CBI, Krista worked as a Consultant at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Sustainable Development, and as a Sustainability Consultant at London-based boutique advisory firm Longevity Partners. She also collaborates with and serves as an advisory board member of several impact-driven start-ups and VC funds, advising them on strategy and impact measurement approaches. She has contributed to a number of academic publications in the area of sustainable investing, including the upcoming Routledge Handbook on Sustainable Fixed Income.
